Enel has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) for the fifteenth year in a row. Enel CEO, Francesco Starace, called attention to yet another milestone reached by the Group, which has been included in the global sustainability index, together with its Spanish subsidiary Endesa, at its eighteenth confirmation. Enel Americas’ results are also noteworthy: the South American subsidiary was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets and Dow Jones Sustainability MILA Pacific Alliance indices for the first time, and in the Dow Jones Sustainability Chile Index for the second year in a row. The Chilean subsidiary Enel Chile was also included in all three indices for the first time.
Our inclusion in a sustainability index as important as the DJSI, for the fifteenth year running, is further confirmation of sustainability’s integration into Enel’s business model

“Our inclusion in a sustainability index as important as the DJSI, for the fifteenth year in a row, is further confirmation of sustainability’s integration into Enel’s business model,” said Enel CEO, Francesco Starace, stressing that in the current scenario, which is increasingly competitive and frequently changing, sustainability plays a particularly important role.
“Enel continues to guide the energy transition, making the most out of all the opportunities offered by renewable sources, digitalisation and advanced energy solutions, maximising the shared value for all of our stakeholders,” added CEO Francesco Starace: it is no coincidence that the Group also particularly stands out in the rankings for electric utility performance with regard to its commitment to encourage the transition towards low-emission energy models.
Eight utility companies were included at the global level, two of which were Enel and Endesa. With Francesco Starace at the helm, the Group’s contribution has been fundamental in promoting growth in renewable energies, the digitalisation of the sector and the launch of new innovative and sustainable solutions to anticipate the needs of its global clients.
