Enel CEO Francesco Starace will attend the third annual Bloomberg Global Business Forum (GBF). It will be held on September 25th in New York, on the occasion of the 74th ONU General Assembly. The date was announced recently by Michael Bloomberg, who underlined how this event aims to highlight how an effective alignment of governments and companies can be instrumental in facing the increase in economic and environmental instability, which are currently among the most dangerous threats to global prosperity.
The GBF brings together some of the most influential global leaders, Heads of State and Government and CEOs, to create a constructive debate on the risks and opportunities in the global economy. Many issues have been addressed since the first edition was held in 2017: the fight against climate change, the uncertainties in the future of global trade and other matters that require a strong commitment from governments and companies. The event on September 25th will see a number of keynote speeches and panel discussions (in which Starace will take part). Their purpose is to help people understand the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors, between companies and governments in facing the great challenges that the world faces. This, in the words of Michael Bloomberg, founder of Bloomberg LP and Bloomberg Philanthropies which promotes the initiative, comes “at a time when tensions and temperatures are increasing everywhere.”
Nor is this the first time that Francesco Starace has been invited to attend the Bloomberg Global Business Forum: the Enel CEO joined the GBF last year, on September 26th, in conjunction with the 73rd General Assembly of the United Nations and the tenth edition of the Climate Week NYC.
